ThaiPins ("we", "the site") is a free, anonymous map of Bangkok rents at thaipins.com. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how third parties — including Google, for ads — handle it.

What we collect

Adding a rent pin does not require an account, name, or login. A pin stores the rent amount, bedroom count, property type, furnishing status, an approximate map location, and optionally a building name — none of which identifies you.

If you check "looking for a flatmate" when adding a pin, the email address and nationality preference you enter with it are stored so other renters can reach you; otherwise no contact information is collected.

We log the IP address behind each submission solely to rate-limit spam (a per-IP cap on new pins). It is never shown publicly and isn't linked to any pin a visitor sees.

Cookies and ads

ThaiPins is free to use and is partly funded by ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Other third parties

• Supabase stores pin data and, where provided, flatmate contact emails.
• Vercel hosts the site and provides anonymous, aggregate web analytics (page views, no personal profiles).

Data retention and removal

Since pins aren't tied to an account, we can't offer a self-service delete. If you'd like a specific pin (or a flatmate email you submitted) removed, email us at the address below with enough detail to locate it.

Children's privacy

ThaiPins isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
